Pilates is a type of physical exercise which focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Core strength comes from the muscles of the abdomen and back working in unison to provide greater support to the body and indeed extra support for the spine. Clinical Pilates is used as a means of treating a variety of injuries, particularly those of the neck and back very safely. It will focus on the retraining and recruitment of your core stability. Pilates will be used as a form of rehabilitation, injury prevention and as a general fitness to improve body tone and strength.
